Best advice I can give you now, find yourself a routine when picking up and putting down trailers, stick to it, and do not let anyone break your routine or you will drop something 
, if someone or something does break that routine start again from the beginning to be certain you didn’t miss something 
If your not certain of space / gaps when reversing, get out and look, try not to let your pride get the better of you when reversing and there is a ton of other drivers around, if it takes a shunt take a proper shunt, if it takes 3,5,9 whatever just relax, practice makes perfect.
