M J Jones came from the LLanybydder he used to show the F10s at Carmarthen Truck Show he later went to trade in secondhand trucks as Foundry Commercials.Many years ago M J Jones’s father ran a D A F 8 wheeler also on timber and it was here that Len Griffiths of Llandovery started in timber haulage also I think the father had a petrol station just outside Lampeter on the Llanwnen road

Hi ianto and cc , My father remembers MJ Jones as exhibts at Carmarthen show …he believes the depot was out of town on the Llansawel road …another Carmarthen haulier who attended the show was BL James with green MANs on timber work …whist he asks the question do you remember Eirwyn Davies Llanstephan with F10s again on timber work …Geraint .

Eirwyn Davies retierd a few years ago he used to run blue and white VOLVOS the last being an FH12 B L JAMES was a timber merchant the last lorry he had was an ERF 8 wheeler that was driven by Peter aka DREAMER.At one time he ran MAN trucks an 8 wheeler and a artic that was driven by Eric (BACH) James rip

Hi all I don’t think that’s shotton the reason is that the tipper was used on the coal, and lime out of the quarry it had swing door on back the tippers stayed local could be ebbw vale, that is ebbw vale scrap on the back,I think that is glyn Ellis driving the front merc

Hi cc can you see the reg on the merc tipper I tried to see with a magnifying glass I can tell who driving it then cheers small coal
