Butlers quarry,Maltby

revman i remember the firm now did they change the name to steelphalt in thr 70s still dont remember seeing the dodges though will talk to ex butlers transport manager see if he can remember.

no u r spot on jonnie i think wot happened was eccles (scunthorpe co)traded as a seperate firm & aizlewoods ran out of maltby when they were together based bow bridge rotherham-alan atki off chris the pic i am looking for ii one of the maltby dodges hope paul finds one

Gunness Hauliers were part of the same group IIRC,maroon artics.I used to load out of their tank farm near Keadby Bridge in t’olden days.

revman I have got contact details for a ex driver for aizlewoods ,just waiting for a phone call.

anyone put a name to these drivers.

since forum redesign look at quarry firm buys six wheelers,more detail can be seen at the side of the foden aec 6 wheeler and a foden eight wheeler with illuminated head board they ran about 8 on G plates i think,one i remember is YWR 533G the driver was reg marshall he then moved on to UWT463L as shown previously.the amberhill scania shows a foden 4300 next to it and behind it a constructor?

the varied fleet that butlers ran,taken about 1973/74?albions,aec,leyland,and plenty of fodens,s36s and s39s also to the left of the picture 3 dumpers not sure if they are f27 model 6 wheelers i have been told they had about 18 in total.sorry about poor picture i have enlarged it to 640/480 to see it better original very small.
