Busy Mr Trump

It aint a country by true and literal definition no.
But does the cluster ■■■■ of the EU not work together as one unified type state as a concept ..and by it’s very definition ie European UNION.
A bit like the UNITED States in fact.

I would suggest that is what he.was getting at.

I like the bit where it says “If they do any economic harm to our economy” He’s not doing bad at all himself with $1.7trillion value wiped off the stock market in the space of two months with his tariff shenanigans .

I wouldn’t know mate, couldn’t be arsed to read it tbh.
No real bearing on my life and all that.

Try arguing that in court. So, why are Germany talking about tariffs?

Then he should be more.precise with his writings, if you need to have your posts constantly clarified by others I would suggest that a course in English language might help.

Right where tf is Frangers? We need some entertainment back on the thread. Perhaps he’s having a nice holiday in the USA

Yeah maybe he should… but in the grand scheme of things, world economics, the threat of WW3 etc…does it REALLY matter?

Unless of course there are those just looking for stuff to (over) stress their point.

Hey ho, so US stocks/shares have plummeted, big deal😄, stock markets are extremely fickle, over the long term they will settle.

Not trying to overstress anything. He posts on here and other topics and the constant theme of his posts is to be controversial. When you point out to him the error(s) of his post he tries to change the subject or just ignores you. I’m all for opposing views (otherwise this would just be a glee club) but his posts are just word soup sometimes. He deserves all he gets. You and your other Trump supporters make valid points (sometimes), we on the other side also make valid points (sometimes). From time to time a bit of childish behaviour creeps in but we can allow that. However, in my opinion, his posts on this and other topics bring nothing to the discussion other than derision. And, if he was on our side, I trust that I would treat him with the same contempt. He’s so proud of his dad’s old Gillette razor but bemoans that the (apparently Chinese) blades are crap. Seriously, that was the best he could come back with? Bit of advice Carryfast, buy a modern razor. You don’t need to live in the past any longer. Nobody is going to string you up and I’m sure Dad would be okay with that. The guy needs help.

Anyway, I’m in bed running a temperature and feeling lousy, that should cheer him up. He can blame it on Karma.

Our resident Chinese bot knows the EU is effectively one country for import and legislative purposes.

Did your Chinese bot take you as far the pages where it individualises each country. Just admit that the EU is not a country but a collective. And remember, this is a document issued by an American organisation.

Your hero made a mistake, get over it and stop doubling down (and people think that Marjorie Taylor Greene is a loonball). The UK government negotiates on behalf of England Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Are you suggesting that we are not individual countries now?

Tbh mate the ‘over stress’ thing was not aimed at you.
(I think I picked you up wrong btw, I assumed you were meaning Trump, I’m now thinking you mean CF on the more precise thing..:grin: )

Yep..again not meaning you but on the whole most of it is childish jibes and inane (bordering on embarrasing) name calling, which is why I am constantly on a wind up …

Wind up merchant…yeah I admit it :joy: '…as opposed to being an AVID Trump supporter, more a kind of admirer to use the term loosely btw.

Could be worse you could be on holiday with your Mrs in bed feeling lousy…like I am now..
So I’m just sat in sun drinking free beer on my phone passing the time winding up the Trump haters…and trying to annoy them.:joy:

I don’t hate Trump per se, but I don’t believe that he’s the right material to have the job he’s got. He seems to be on a mission to be the most controversial president ever and, whilst for whatever pleasure that may bring him, I just don’t understand his followers constantly and almost slavishly toeing the corporate line. This might sound outrageous, and I wouldn’t want it to happen, but it’s as if he has a death wish. Mention the names of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley and Kennedy to your average yank and they will know of them. Try Tyler, Taylor, Fillmore and Pierce and you’ll be met with blank stares. Another concern I have is that once he’s run out of his current batch of targets what will he turn to next. I can’t imagine him getting to the summer and putting his feet up, he constantly needs to be both controversial (I note that I’m using that adjective a lot more in this topic than is good for me) and dictatorial. The next groups in his sights might be a bit less palatable to accept. Who will be this century’s Pastor Niemoller?

I know he’s in the numero uno gig, but how many politicians actually are fit for purpose…our own PM springs to mind ,.and arguably the 2 or 3 previous ones.
Billy Connolly once said ‘The fact that someone WANTS to be a politician should diaqualify them from becoming one’’ …a fair point .

As for him wanting to be the most controversial is maybe the thing that attracts people…me for one.
I hate ‘beigeness’…another Connolly word.

I just love Maverick unpredictable style and manner, maybe because I like to think I am like that myself.
As Steve Wright used to say..'‘Unpredictable,.earthy, just a mish mash’ …or was it mismatch.?

And his disdain and contempt towards the wishy washy more radical pathetic mannered woke left particularly ‘excites’ me.:joy:…mainly cos I hate them myself and blame them for the state of my own beloved country.

I just tend to admire ‘‘Off the wall’’ people, maybe that is where I am going wrong.

All valid comments but he’s supposed to be the leader of the “free world”. American presidents have revelled in that accolade for a long time now but it seems as if he wants to abolish that as well. Being controversial (that word again) is not in itself a bad thing. Being controversial just so that you are constantly in the headlines is dangerous and it encourages his entourage to try stupid things just to impress the boss. Taking it to an extreme, Hitler’s aim was not to kill all the Jews and undesirables, he just wanted them out of Germany. The problem came when countries like the US and the UK (and others) refused to take them. That some of them would be worked to death was strangely acceptable. When the companies (like Krupp who had to pay the government for each employee they were supplied with) complained about the quality of the workforce (malnutrition does tend to play havoc with your ability to perform to an adequate level) you suddenly have a large group of individuals that are a burden. Step in Heydrich et al and you come up with a “final solution” - albeit Hitler signed off on it. Not suggesting that Trump or his motley crew would sink to these levels, but with all things stateside at the moment I don’t think anything’s off the menu.

Anyway, enjoy your break.

Tbf mate I think comparing anybody to Hitler is a bit extreme.
I just think, and I maybe wrong here (who knows…who cares) .. that he likes to have a laugh at his critics and hater’s expense, and that he puts his own country above all else, and does not gaf about any other basically,.. ''Leader of the free world or not '.
I kinda share his view put your own first, and that charity and goodwil begins at home…anybody else is a poor second.. sorrybut basically f.em
Hardline but that is how I am…and apparentlly he is

As for issues akin to the case of the Zelensky Putin fiasco, and other stuff, maybe ha has something up his sleeve.
As I keep saying fotever… .Wait and see.

Cheers I am so far, (even though I am still on my own.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Visited a car museum earlier, felt old as a lot of the ‘artefacts’ were cars I had as a young lad.:joy:

On a bus presently going to where my Dad has told me a lot about when stationed there in the Royal Navy when I was a kid…Valetta Harbour Malta.
You been there yourself I expect.

I did caveat that Hitler bit with extreme first so I can play my “get out of jail free card” with that one :grinning: At least I didn’t compare Vance to Heydrich (and before Carryfast jumps in demanding that I get my facts right I know that Heydrich was not the next in line. I use the comparison in terms of the influence they can exert on the boss).

Seriously though, I think that this is just the tip of the iceberg with him. And I don’t think that it’s going to end well for anyone. Just my fears, hopefully misplaced.

Its great to hear some saying it doesn’t effect me
Or what’s it got to do with my life
Or he’s on my level
Not
I have the upmost respect for stammer and all the eu countries, i mean they have had multi meetings together and on top of that have been insulted left right and centre and they are still standing and not responding
It just gives the appearance of been in control, they deserve so much respect
Don’t forget to stock up on the 3 day emergency supplies

I’m sure I’ll survive it mate.

You’re being ironic or sarcastic right? :joy:

Speak for yourself not me.

The problem that some of us thinkers see, is that with trump hacking, slashing and bulldozing his way through decades of diplomacy, intelligence building, defensive organisation etc, trump himself is going to bring about the core reasons that WW3 kicks off full force.

Putin is having the time of his life, without doubt, any russians who distrusted and disliked him in the same way that, surprise-surprise Rob, some of us on the left including a growing number of his MPs, dislike and distrust starmeeeeeeee, those doubting russians will now be thinking “hang onski, ist putin actually OK now because he’s gotten trumpski kissing his ass”

So instead of making putin feeling more isolated, which in turn makes him more vulnerable to one of his generals using an icepick on him, it’s gonna strengthen putin at home and with other countries whose leaders pally pally with putin

So unless trumpski has some amazing 100% devasting ace up his sleeve, putin will push harder for more concessions and terrority. Trumpski is enabling a serious threat to life, our life.

I don’t actually disagree with the need, while humans remain uncouth teenagers that they are, of increasing defence. As long as it’s spending done within our own country i.e. with our own defence industry which we still have a little bit of, instead of buying from the US, Germany and Spain etc. And using British steel SUPPORT SCUNTHORPE
Make within and buy from within. We’ve got a worse enough trade imbalance as it is, and that, gentlemen, is the true cause of most recessions, the outflow of wealth.

Hence why we need to crack down not on benefits, but on billionaires offshoring vast wealth. Most benefit claimants cannot afford to, and aren’t too fussed about gadding orf to sunny Siberia.

And trumpski, the second biggest reason why he’s doing it all, wrecking the entire world, is because he wants to amass a fortune he can never spend. To die the richest man ever ever ever. First reason of course is he needs to be the supreme leader is to show his dad he is the best, and not the useless ■■■■■■ his dad realised he had propagated. All of trumpski’s hate is his own shame and misery with feeling rejected and not loved by his father who wanted a brilliant businessman as his son.

So that is why what trumpski does elsewhere, really does impact on everyone around the world. It’s why there are supposed to be laws to control what market monopolys do with the power they have in any one market, so they don’t misused that power and suck dry everyone

I’m not sure if you meant your above quote at trump or at someone else, but Rob you have repeatedly stated the same sentiment when speaking of trumpski, so I’m running with this.
And you keep claiming not actually to be a trumpski fanboy despite lavishing him huge enormous immense praise like the world has never seen before… But right now, around the world, there are a vocally significant bunch of russian trolls, and maga lowbrows all singing from the same hymn sheet.

Seriously, if you don’t want us to confuse you for been one of the maga faithful, don’t imitate them. Laughing and shouting out “kick him in the kidneys now” to a bully kicking the ■■■■ out of a victim on the playground makes you an accessory, not an innocent bystander. Wood splinters can fester a long time, so get off the fence.

Making a different parallel with hitler. After WW2 only the diehard supporters with big cojones still expressed support. The others shut up for fear of reprisals as suddenly people woke up from their dreamlike existance and saw hitler for the fascist devil he was.

Trumpski will go too far soon, perhaps with his illegal deportations. Perhaps swept up in one of his very hitler like raids on opponents, he will have some definitely not illegal, definitely not hamas supporter, definitely not unamerican person arrested and deported somewhere. And then something terrible happens to them, and it’s not swept under the carpet, but becomes worldwide news.

Some innocent american arrested without due cause, then killed with the acquiescence of trump. Or maybe some military cockup happens on foreign soil. Something could happen soon enough that even trumpski can’t wriggle out of. Then the cascade failure of this artificial reality we’ve suffered the last few years happens. And anyone who supported trumpski, or sounded like they were supporting trumpski, will be vilified, chased around the village green, put into stocks, roasted in the pub, harangued in sainsburys

Be sure Rob you really are on the correct side with all your amusing tongue in cheek apparent support for the orange one. Because as one thing has been clearly demonstrated in the last few years, the ordinary Jo public which lacks the intelligence to correctly factcheck let alone reason when they read headlines, hence the outrageous illegal behaviour after those innocent girls were killed. will happily hang the next target that becomes social media public enemy number one without any further intelligent thought.

edited to put in which and the paragraph ending. Apologies all.
