chaversdad:
Its not the trailer thats gonna catch its a flat, its the top of my windkit, i measured it again to double check and its exactly 12 ft 11 inches, its an arched bridged marked 13ft in the centre, windkit doesnt drop as its a Daf XF Superspace, that new bit of cement tells me someone else has recently been a bit close
Looking at that picture, thereās a bridge further down that road, and a factory to the right, is there another way in, or even put company up, might be some who have been there
Only 1 way in, 13ft bridge on one side or an 11ft bridge at the other end

I chickened out of taking a 4m truck through the 4m northbound Blackwall tunnel. Turned round at the height barrier
Donāt blame you
North bound is 13ft.
I was 12 ft10 so thought be fine.
Never again.
I did get though it twsits and turns .
is 2 lanes wide.
But just in the right hand lane it has yellow pole things just hanging down from the roof. And am sure there less than 13ft every time I came to a bend was scared was going hit them.
This was about a year ago never used it again.

I knocked the the top of the air intake off a 112 Scania on one of the dongley things, back in the day we used to run 55ft rigid trailers so you had to wiggle in and out of the poles to clear the corners, one day i slightly misjudged it and bang, i didnt dare stop all the way to Kates Cabin as i was in denial and thought no just keep going driver it might grow back

Rotherham? That could have been the bridge I was on about.
Buggered if I can remember the height of those Euroliners.
Thats the one mate, there was a fella loading a euroliner in front of me today, he goes all the time and reckons theres 6 inches to play with height wise, when i have one on its more or less level with my truck so they must be about 13ft high

EU regs should be 4.0metre height, so 13ft 2inch, I think.
Used to under there with 13ā10" trailers and drop the air. Now our curtains are too high so we tranship on to a flat whenever we need to go in there.
But it definitely used to be a pain cos the entrance is so close to the bridge.
They reckon they measured the bridge once at 14ā but that was to the brickwork.
Itās been there donkeys years.
SWEDISH BLUE:
Last week i had to go under a bridge marked at 11ft 9 inch. Truck was marked at 12ft 11 inch. I queried with the regular mate and was told, āYeah, we do it every week.ā
So maybe the truck marked at 1211" is really 125"ā¦a bit added for safety.
And maybe the bridge marked at 119" is really 129" ā¦a bit knocked off for safety.
Now we know that a truck will fit under a bridge a whole foot lower than our truckā¦and so when we find a truck and bridge accurately marked, BANG!
(Not having a go at Swedish Blue, just guessing how we think)
