During my test I had a narrow left turn and stopped in the hang-back position. Examiner asked “why have you stopped when the road is clear”. I replied “there’s a bike somewhere…” and just then he popped into view. Even DSA examiners don’t always see them! “Everything Possible” means just that - and the point is that “everything possible” doesn’t always mean you notice them moving from behind you (blind spot) to between range of left mirrors and proximity mirror (blind spot)
I’d sooner see a sign on the back left of every trailer “Cyclists pass this vehicle on the left at your OWN RISK”
Or actually a set of flame throwers linked to the left indicator would work wonders…

I watched a few you tube videos and there was one of a bus broken down on a road. One cyclist commented and wanted to report the gent in the video for wearing the wrong colour high vis on the street, even though he was helping traffic around the broken down bus. He was wearing a Orange jacket with high vis lines going across the chest. How ■■■■■■■ petty is that.

I think that’s their idea.It’s all about a type of commie protest bs that goes along the lines of they can’t afford to buy a car so make everyone else’s life a misery who can in an attempt to bring everyone down to their level and trucks and buses just happen to be getting caught up in the whole scenario.Meanwhile Boris and his leaders are happy to go along with it because by lowering expectations amongst the masses the tory ■■■■■■ can bring down wage levels.It’s all a symptom of the fact that the country is being turned into a third world banana republic with a transport system to match.
