Well I’ve taken the plunge and as of Monday I’m officially a quarry operator with an lgv license as opposed to an lgv driver who can drive plant. Looked back over some previous posts and with all the hassle, (and knob jockeys worrying about bonus etc) thought a better hourly rate+overtime and no traffic queues plus a top bit of kit to drive was too good an opportunity to miss.
It’s the busiest job out of the 3 shovels (I have to load wagons, mix stock, maintain haul road and load the bagging plant) but the day flies by.

Nothing to moan about this morning; Loaded about 4 Bob the Builders so far and done a bit of greasing all at time and a half.
Blinged the shovel up too by putting the Canadian plate on that used to be on my Foden.
