Bins

Its the same as driving a bus, fixed routes and you carry rubbish around…

PMSL

I got a mate who works on the bins for the local council. He got the job through an agency, about two years ago, and loves it.

OK, i’ve found out a bit more about it.

It is working for a company called “service team” who contract off the council.
It would definatly be as a loader with possibly some relief driving until a perminant drivers position comes up.

Money wise (and please remember this is Cornwall) as a loader is £6 per hour but with a pay rise pending.

not sure on total hours, but our own bins are picked up at 6am and they fuel at the garage where Rachel works and are still turning up at about 3pm (although some fuel during the day)

Any thoughts■■?

I see a pattern forming here cos its my back up plan if I can’t get back on the buses.

oh dont forget the peg for your nose.

After driving sewage tankers during the summer, I don’t see that as a problem

When our binmen come round THEY RUN from house to house, I feel faint watcing them, the driver is in and out of the cab like a Jack in the Box, it all looks very tiring.
