This might be an unpopular opinion but I think most fleets from these islands are pretty bland. It’s as if people are scared of committing to vehicles or they don’t want to be seen to be making too much money perhaps?

Maybe it’s the general approach to road transport (in England at least) in that people are nearly ashamed of being drivers or hauliers.

I agree with what your saying but even when you go abroad you still see lots of “boring” looking fleets, i think what doesnt help here is because we dont have a height limit all our trailers sit on the ■■■■ higher at the fifth wheel etc and trailers that tower above the cab without sloping roofs all add up to making lorries in this country look scurfy in my opinion.

D’you know, I think you’re spot on there. I’ve been trying to put my finger on why vehicles here looked kinda wrong for years and you’re right, it’s the height.

Best looking truck is the one that’s covered in road grime, lots of miles under it’s belt and turning in a decent profit, rather than the profits being spent on autoglym!!!

I saw a fella polishing his tractor unit’s wheels the other week. Quite bizarre!!

Not a massive fleet but very tidy (if minimal livery)

They run a mix of new and old DAF’s and Mercs but this is the showboat. And what a beauty she is

When I first saw that I thought “You don’t often see graffiti on a decent truck in this country”, didn’t realise it was meant to be like that

Certainly looks different and that’s the point. I remember a fair while back Goaty talking about his set up being different, not everyone seems to agree on things looking different though.
