Murfitts was a cushy number, but i preferred my time with European Freight Services (Dover)

Airfreight / AOG work with Taft International…

Not the newest kit on the road (at the time) but mostly night work, left pretty much to your own devices and respect from the office.

I didn’t put some of the more “top Shelf” stuff in :laughing: because I’m to much of a gentleman but mainly because I only hear about when it’s all over. :cry:

Pegasus. Many years ago now running down to gibraltar. Seemed to spend more time in customs, on the beach or on the lash. No wonder they went skint, but great while it lasted.

capitol cargo or trailways[trevor marks] passed my test with him& went straight out on european & middle east work.he allways backed you up against freight forwarders & was always up 4 a laugh & if you really didn’t wanna do a job he’d sort so you didn’t ave to do it .he used to leave you alone as long as the job was being done we al had top of the range fh 12.was my best ever job by miles but like everthing it dont last . mick

gollogy great job you went all over anywere from france to poland . was trip money but was good money, they never bothered you, just left you to get on with the job .

I remember bits of that!! but only little bits as barbour wine collections was a driver friendly job but the old liver didnt half take a pounding in them routiers! As for andorra i will never forget the £9050 customs fine for unloading without customs being present :open_mouth:
