8 06 units getting put off the road mate think there was 5 in total paid off, hope they turn it around myself as there a decent company to work for and some of the drivers are good lads, iv phoned around a few places but there doesnt seem to be much happening

Best connection were thrown out of our place in dumfries a few months ago, when some of their employees were caught red-handed doing something they shouldn’t. The police were called and they were charged. AFAIK, they are still there working on other contracts.

Clucking bell, I liked going in there for the odd shift, as you say good people hope things works out for them.
Did a shift at ASD metals yesterday and another driver from the same agency was in there, says the agency work at FedEx Gretna has pretty much dried up, up until a couple of weeks ago 6 of us were pretty much full time in there. I had noticed the volume of freight was reducing for a few weeks.
Maybe this is just a result of the ■■■■ state of the economy, people just aren’t buying stuff so less to move.
Miked, I hope you find something soon, its not the best time of year to start looking for jobs, I worked at Stalkers for 12 yrs from 1984 to 1996… As you say, they were great to work for, and i am still in touch with a lot of the drivers, mechanics and office staff. Good luck.
