Best British Roads for Trucking

Muckaway:
A44 Fish Hill near Broadway…in a Cat powered motor with a Jake Brake.

just for the sound, obviously :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Theres a road between Ipswich and Sudbury, I thinkits the 1107, cant remember. Brilliant at 3am, with empty trailer.

Woodhead, any season.

+1

Bronze age way belvedere it takes me back to the yard

straight through london in the early hours is fun, failing that, woody on a nice summers eve

A697 the road to coldstream off of the A1. :sunglasses:

dont know the rd but the a rd from bridlington to scarborough

A303 once it splits from M3, hardly amy numpties once you get on the 303

Thetaff:
Sutton bank!

■■■■ yeah, going down. :open_mouth:

just a shame it still has the single carrigeway sections ,in summer & bank hols it’s awfull trying to keep moving when it’s all trying to filter in :frowning:

if given the choice , the A303 over the M4. On milk to oakthorpe every night the A303 kept me awake in the early hours , the M4 was so long & boring , i was wary of nodding off, that or someone would break wind & they’d have to close it for a few hours :unamused:

The A417 Cirencester- Stroud; I love the view alongside the railway with the old mill chimneys in the distance…Like going back in time.

The B4077 Guiting-Toddington section; Short but great view and fantastic smell when the steam locos are lighting up at Tod’ station…

A4212 Bala to Trawsfynydd. Stunning views, quite quiet for traffic (not recommended in the snow though)…

Ive always enjoyed the A68 from the A69 all the way up to Edinburgh

and my other favourite is the A44 from leominster to rhyader

A280 because when I hit that I know im near my home track and il be knee down/elbow bashing very soon

Along the Fosse or anywhere north of Glesgay
