When it is good does the driver get a rewardâŚNOâŚjust his wage.
Doesnt that apply to any industry ? If people didnt setup in business people wouldnt be employed.
If I borrowed your car and had a ding in it, would you expect me to pay for the damage or the insurance after all thats what you have paid insurance for ?, or as its your car, maybe you are reposnsible for the cost ?
CommentsâŚ
Would i pay for any damage i caused? no danger matey, that is exactly why youâre insured. Stop rushing, take your time and keep cool and youâll not have any problems 99% of the time. Sometimes â â â â happens, just accept it. I view driving as my trade and take pride in not having bumps, but no matter how good you are it will happen.
If your boss is chasing you to go faster etc. ask him nicely to weld wings to the side of your wagon and then drive the {zb] thing himself!
keep cool my manâŚ
If it needs stars, it ainât allowed Colingl

Nice one.
Do you feel more comfortable with Class 2 work?
yes for now class 2 work is ok, but i would like a class 1 job again , i dont want nights out and i dont want to go on haulage again, dunno how i will get back on the arctics to be honest ive lost confidence but i would like a trunking job i told my agency about everything at my old place and she said i would be best on the class 2 for a while , will just have to see,had some hassle from my old boss yesterday , my 3 days a worked before i was sacked i did not get paid for!
so i called him he said well you owe me ÂŁ100 its part payment! ,i siad look im coming down for then money ok i dont want trouble but dont take the fxxxxg pxxs put phone down on him,so 10 min later i drove to the yard all the drvers were there finishing on a friday boss in office they all looked shocked cos i came for what i was owed! he said ive been thinking ill give your 3 days ok nice has pie! so i got it off him i was thinking it was gonna be a lot harder then that! could do him for a dissmisal claim i got a verbal when i started over 1 year ago i rang acas i got a verbal warnomgh over a year ago for something i didnt do! and i never had 48 hrs notice or a wittness with me then i never had 2 writen warningss never mind a final , and when i told them about him taking money from my wages and dropping my hourly rate they said he could not drop your rate or take money from your wages unless in the employment contract to be blunt i could well do him! but i dont want hassle he is a well known haulier in my district and id never work in the industry again
iâve not read the lot but, any driver who thinks its a good idea to pay for any damage they cause is an idiot - fact!
people make mistakes, everyone knows this, so if you employ people you know at some point they are likely to make a mistake, its just the way it is. if you donât like it donât employ anyone.
if a chef overcooked a steak would he have to pay fot it - would he [zb], heâd eat it. if an engineer crashes a milling machine probe at ÂŁ300, that wouldnât come out of his wages, a dodgy employer might try it on, but so long as you tell them were to go thatâll be the end of it.
if i lent my car to someone an they dinged it, yes i would expect them to put it right, if i employed someone and asked to take my car and they dinged it then that would be down to me.
my first 2 weeks driving trucks was 2 of the worse weeks of my life. i went from a car to an artic, 1 column tail lift wrote off and a new light cluster on the unit and abit of getting lost. stick with it fella, a couple of crashâs doesnât mean your not cut out for driving trucks.
