When you read the reasons for closing the Melksham park, you see it confirmed that lorry drivers are their own worst enemies. If I lived there I would certainly have been campaigning to have it closed down.
A fair point there Santa but the soot on the wall was reported to be from lorries but a reader in the comments page said lorry exhaust pipes would not have blackened their wall .
Most likely the dust from the tyre factory in the town .

He crossed two bridges and as you said by the canal by the school playing fields , not even the local buses use that route .
