Someone on here seems to have an obsession with me… virtually every time he posts , even though I’m a fat idiot who can’t drive (apparentlly )
I keep telling him I’m spoken for, but apart from that I aint even on the same bus as him .

I personally think it should be 3 points if you hold another truck out, as should tailgating. These two are the most prevalent type of bad driving amongst hgv’s and should be stamped out
Almost without exception the elephant trying to overtake will have been tailgating before pulling out and will then cut in front leaving a safe braking distance of 1-4 yards whilst travelling at 56 mph. I consider that to be dangerous driving which carries a potential 2 year prison sentence along with an unlimited fine. Sounds good to me.
Aurri:
while I agree it would be good if people did back off to reduce elephant racing and reduce chance of accidents. If over 30 miles the difference is 35 seconds is there much point in overtakingn in the first place?
That’s way too sensible friend!
If you pull out to overtake you should be able to get passed without relaying on the truck in lane 1 too slow down to let you past.
If not slow down and file in.
Or just hope for the best?
M11 got no overtaking ban starting soon because of this.
Thanks
From my view point, if another bloke has pulled out to get by me, he is obviously quicker so I back off a few clicks and let him crack on.
It aint that hard to do and is all over and done with in less than a minute.
We’re debating the bleedin obvious here.

If more drivers done the same as me, there’d be no ban!

I always back off if somebody is really struggling. It is frustrating when all the others behind take that as their Q to jump me as well but at the end of the day me getting to my destination say 15 seconds later than if I’d kept it flat to the mat really isn’t all that.
I really can’t be arsed to get into an overtake that takes miles these days, I tend to knock the limiter down to his speed and chill out.
Everybody’s in such a rush these days [emoji57]
