Thought I’d use this thread to slide in to this interweb forum thing.
My company provides a completely unlimited phone and customers phone numbers but I got told off for using my own handsfree kit. They want you to stop, turn off engine and leave the cab before using the phone.
So absolutely no hassle when you don’t answer.

A local concrete firm did similar. They took back all handsfree kits, banned drivers from having their own and wanted drivers to stop and take any calls.
I heard of several drivers being spoken to about ignoring customers.
I couldn’t work for a company like that.
My TM rings, and then 10 minutes after I haven’t answered he usually texts me with an address, information or whatever. I sometimes have to ring ahead for delivery times etc, but these days always pull over to do so.

So why don’t they put CB radios in all the cabs then?

So why don’t they put CB radios in all the cabs then?
You’d have to listen to all the other ■■■■■■■■ from drivers talking ■■■■■■■■ about something that doesn’t concern them. But if you do, annoy said drivers by turning your rig off, then speak through the mic (holding the button) and then laugh as they frantically turn up volume, adjust squelch and look miffed that their radio has stopped working. 
Or just press the mic button everytime they start to talk…
