I’ve never had a 3408, but of all the 550hp 3406s I’ve had, none disappointed. There’re a good alternative to a Cummins.

Reiver? Clydesdale?

I’d say Reiver but you know how innovative those Aussies are it could be anything. Reivers were 6 wheelers Clydesdales were 4

You’re right, it’s a Reiver. In Oz the Albion Reiver with the Bathgate cab was re-badged as a Leyland (thanks to Leyland600 fior the info).

Roadranger RTO-9513 gearshift pattern from an Australian Atki

I think but will stand to be corrected that after the LAD cab all Albions were badged Leyland over here.My dad drove an old LAD Albion Clydesdale it was horrific.

I’ve just watched that SDU and it was interesting. The attitude is similar to our drivers (not). Obviously being an owner driver he’s going to make it happen but he’s hiring a pick up to collect a gearbox then back with the exchange to make the job quicker. What would the gearbox have been because he mentioned Daimler (Mercedes)

@ramone 18 speed RoadRanger, pretty much standard in American based trucks. It’s also the box of choice to replace a worn out European unit, due to cost.

Can they replace the worn out auto boxes with 18 speed Roadrangers?

@ramone we put them in all sorts, Volvo, Scania, it’s a factory option on Iveco.

I would imagine they would transform the Swedes
