Nice, but I canāt see Gauthier digging out an old Magnum for me. even though my destination is between here and the yard.
One of the Kuchels had a flash fridge on produce in the 70s/80s.
Cobb & Co had a big fleet of those Commers, Ramone. They had a depot in the seedy and industrial suburb of South Brisbane, when I was a kid.
South Brisbane is now full of expensive, yuppie restaurants and millionaireās flats.
The Commers seemed to be quite popular down under SDU . Mainly local authorities round the area i live.
How many of thosr flats are you renting out , i would imagine youāve a portfollio
Yes mate, I have a portfolio, unfortunately itās empty.
My knowledge of Detroit is fairly rudimentary, but I thought they, unlike Cummins, would not self bleed. Every GM mechanic Iāve seen working on the fuel system had a hand pump to prime the lift pump.
Just watched the video SDU.Are you saying if heād had a hand pump he may have got it started quicker?Very interesting either way though and my knowledge on how the workings could be written on the back of a stamp. I did get a Volvo S60 D5 running not so long ago but that wasnāt rocket science.I dont think a white shirt is the best attire for a mechanic. Great watch though got me hooked
Possibly, Iām sure heās more knowledgeable than me, but Iāve never seen a Detroit specialist not use the hand pump, when there is air in the system.
Makes sense i had a Renault 290 GT and i had tipped in Porth South Wales ( not the new one this ones smaller and colder)I was coming through Pontypridd one miserable afternoon and it cut out right in the town centre.I was popular.I had no tools so hazard lights on and i went and found a Halfords .I bought a movable spanner cab up and it had a primer on the side of the engine.I knew this because it happened a few days earlier in our yard and i watch the mechanic. Anyway it worked but just before i got back in the cab i noticed a pipe on top of the tank that was off and the tank was wet.It just pushed on and i never had a problem since.Iām not sure if it was a return pipe iām no mechanic by any stretch. I hated that motor
The desert is flooding. Lake Ayre is normally dry, to see it in flood is a once in a generation thing. The wildlife, birdlife in particular will be phenomenal. I may take a drive out there next year. The lake will have water in it for two or three years.
Got some Poms going to give it a crack, in a few weeks.
We are having some very strange weather here SDU. It was 22c yesterday which is very unusual for April. Weāve had virtually cloudless skies but itās still cold at night.Obviously this plays right into the global warming brigade who will be out in force. We are going to get punished big time for this with rain and dropping temperatures for a month .One week of sunshine = crap weather for a month afterwards
Serves you right, for not being here.
Cooling down here now, high twenties during the day, dropping to +/- 20 at night. The days are getting shorter too. Itās all down hill until November now.
I really donāt know how you cope
