I thought we were lorry drivers

Valuable professionals! when did this happen

I’m salaried so does that make me better?

Since when are we profiteroles?
I am on salary so the less I work the more I get paid (if you compare it to an hourly paid worker), if you are paid by the hour the more you work the more you get paid.
Edit: heres an example I am on £108 a day, the less hours I work the more the hourly rate increases, I could do 2 hours at £54 an hour, if your on hourly pay at £8 an hour you would have to do 13.5 hours at least to make £108 a day, I average 11-12 hours a day. In my case salary is better, I get night out allowance on top of that wage as well but as that is an allowance and not a wage it is not included in my calculations

Yes, see post above

I don’t know why?

I look at it from two angles.

My tramping job during the week a fixed wage. Foot flat to the mat, no messing about.

Couple of agency shifts a month on Sunday, hourly paid. On a go slow, stringing it out to the max.

I’m not hourly paid thankfully or my pay would be dreadful

It makes you faster.

You can always tell a salaried driver by a glance at his face if he has to wait… They’re usually the busybody ones up and down the queue…“do you mind if i just…”, “yeah i do, wait like me, behind me i wanna go too” !!!

Don’t quite get your drift there.I’ve never been paid hourly as a driver. So,if there’s a queue,I wait.Same pay,no problem.Unless it’s my last card and want to get home

Thankyou.

Do that I shall.

I drive a lorry it pays the bills it’s easy what else do I want people to clap and kneel down in praise when I turn up with there delivery.

Apparently this is the desire of many.

And for Sir +

Apparently many desire this.

And not just when you turn up for deliveries. The roadway should be strewn with rose petals in front of your wheels and the Great British Public should be hailing you in the way Romans did to Caeser. Well at least until he was stabbed in the back, and considering it was one of his mates that did it I wonder if his chariot was actually a truck?

Man good.

If it was the baby Jesus you might.

I don’t think it’s Jesus he is delivering. As our great Lord and saviour I would hope Jesus, even as a baby, would be able to advise him on the correct use of there and their. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thankyou.

Not having a dig kr79, just keeping the theme which has sprung up on this thread going.
