Dave,over here Nahverkehr is normaly
transport out to a distance of 150km,s
and any distance over this is called
Fernverkehr, crossing a border is called
Grenzüberschreitender Verkehr,
By the way most firms liveing near the borders
will call their transport when it goes over the border
near them, Erweiteter Nahverkehr, a legal way
to bend the rules,

Hi Pete, Thanks again mate.
Those modern-day phrases you used are still very similar to what I remember, except I honestly didn’t realise that Nahverkehr was erweitbar.
Is there still a Genehmigung, a Lizenz and two kinds of Verkehrsbehörden these days?
We’d best be careful here Pete, otherwise Inselaffe will have us for Postentführung.
And the poor old Googlers won’t have a clue what we’re on about.
@dave i will send you a PM,instead of hijacking the thread,

Hi mate the wagon & drag looks good but you can keep that A frame its not for me
Wheel Nut:
I think the retarder hoses are a bit of a problem as I have had 2 burst on me. Maybe they need to be armourflex
Inselaffe:
.Last time it happened to me was in 2000 with my old 26.440: on the N 568 between Martigues and Arles.
It was 35 degrees at the time.
Took me 2 hours to get the hose off (after first having to drop the demount to get at the bugger), clean it up, superglue the split, before refitting it and filling up with water from a nearby beck and running into the MAN garage in Arles the next morning for a replacement hose.
Last summer heading north through Spain on the C101, hot sunny day with nothing on the road when suddenly got a strong smell of ant-freeze followed by, a split second later, dash lighting up with Low Coolant Warning. Pulled off onto convenient slip road and stopped.
Looked down back of cab and found pool of coolant on top of gearbox from burst intarder pipe. By the time I had tilted the cab there were hundreds of wasps and other assorted insect life which seemed to be attracted to the coolant.
Fortunately I had a spare hose which I cut down to size, all the time I had wasps buzzing round and landing on me but luckily didn’t get stung.
