We’re busy, just started another new run this week, to Belfast, which is the second to start in the last couple of months. We don’t have enough drivers in our department to cover the work now but there is a freeze on recruitment so the agency are going to be busy and a few more of the agency lads are going to have to dust off their passports.

Passports for Belfast??

No, nor for Dublin, I meant the Krefeld, Eindhoven and Paris runs.

as people are layed off they turn to the booze for comfort. result were quite busy at the mo :grimacing:

We(Hanson) seem to be fairly busy…As has been said the small builders are still building and there is alot of social housing being built especially in London.
Lets not forget that this is the quiet time of year…and we are in a recession. B&Q and wickes are fairly busy.
We MUST get the housing market moving again to get us all out of the ■■■, thats what got us in and thats what will get us out!!!

If we say that we are ALL flat out, do you think that might make the people buy stuff?(ie give people confidence in the future) Then we might get out of this mess…maybe not :frowning: :frowning:

ayup stu,i’ve done 2 loads everyday this week ex newark and a couple outa alfreton plant,so can’t complain…KEEP BRITAIN BUILDING!..with blocks lol

we are chocka block, running about like idiots, the thing is we have let a lot of drivers go trying to match volume, but volumes have gone through the roof, laid off drivers are now back on an ad hoc basis.just hoping it stays like this!!
