A raised grille can be useful as a sun shade if you’re cooking or sitting outside, but it doesn’t want leaving open, as white-luton-van-man doesn’t always notice the sticky-out bits on lorries

Maybe some ribbons of hi viz barrier tape should be hung off of open grills? Cones put under the extreme corners? Signs warning of restricted headroom for pedestrians? [emoji3]
