WOW

Valm down shirley.

Good to hear your old grandad survived.
Did he weat his gas mask since day one of virus?

How did he survive when others didnt. Why didnt he catch said virus?

Was he contained to one room and fed through a letterbox like prisoners hence the love deaths in prisons. Or was he just an elite human being with healthy blood.

Was ge tested to see if he had it at any time?

I woukd assume he wouldve it being a plague like virus that kills everyone it touches.

Man up.

Ive been out daily sonce march and been to plenty of premises and had group hugs.

Its the flu. Just a more sensitised strain.

I can confirm my neighbours Budgie also died a confirmed covid case. It was a fat sod as well. There is growing evidence that thin people who poke themselves in the eye with a sharp stick everyday remain unaffected by the virus. I haven’t seen any reported cases of one-eyed people on a diet dying in the statistics.

Of course I believe them. Why would highly trained professionals all over the world tell us things that were not true? Why do they all have similar opinions? You are not telling me they confer behind our backs or do it for fun or to wind us up. Sorry but I don’t get your way of thinking.

I see you have the same view on the ice caps etc, have you been following the progress of that or it seems in your mind that is all a myth as well.

Thankfully me and probably your goodself will not be around to see the devastating implications to the world that will arrive in not so many years.

Which ones do you believe, the ones who are telling you millions are going to die, or those telling you they’re not?
Like these.

This is basic stuff, but what you’re seeing is a repeat of the other predictions. People get caught up in it, the ‘experts’ are no different.
From the Russian Chief Medical Officer to Swedish Minister of Health and British disease epidemiologist Gupta … If covid is a scientific fact of plague proportions, why aren’t they all agreeing?

Of course I have the same view on ice caps melting in 2015 as predicted by Al Gore – they didn’t.

Oh I’ll be around for the devastating implications that will arrive shortly and so will you. Both of us will experience the effects of a massive man-made economic depression and that’s a 100% guaranteed.

Here are my predictions

This will all blow over eventually, just like all the rest of the doomsday predictions. Boris, if his own party hasn’t thrown him out by then, will tell us if it wasn’t for him we’d all be dead by now and the Muppet faithful will cheer.

With six million unemployed, bankruptcies and home repossessions at record levels, Boris will inform us that he needs to get us back to work, which he’ll do by a week next Wednesday if climate change doesn’t kill us all first and what a spiffing jolly economy he and his chums will create.

And do you know what? Tens of millions will believe him, that’s the funny part. Stand by for the next paranoid belief of one legged green Martians invading earth and killing whole populations.

I have had the covid test sent to me where I’ve held the swab under the tap, sealed it and sent it back.

Funny enough I got an positive result a few days after. Makes you wonder if they are even testing them or if they even work.

Al Gore, an American politician, made a prediction about the climate which didn’t happen, therefore science is wrong.
Fascinating stuff.

Did that come from the same book that says C19 mortality rate is 0.03%?

Barrington Declaration a small group of scientists publishing a non-peer-reviewed document, described in an open letter published on The Lancet as “a dangerous fallacy”.

“Plague proportions”? Setting up straw men?

Just imagining Ant Middleton and his mates all dressed in black, storming in after smoke grenades because there are more than 6 people sitting down to their Turkey and sprouts on Christmas day.

Not at all, I take it you’re one of the believers.
Environmentalist Al Gore had a tremendous following among the world’s scientific community as well as the usual sheep and became very wealthy out of it, even when proven wrong. Likewise, Greta also made a few shekels out of her ‘Green revolution’ and got a standing ovation from the UN with her ‘how dare you’ climate strike rant. Gullibility isn’t confined to just sheep like followers.

Some pretty powerful credentials in those ‘small group’ of scientists (actually they’re more medical experts). It was in a reply to Jake who said all the medical experts agreed.

Plague proportions? Yes definitely. Don’t you remember the headlines when it all started? Millions could die, fridge trailers in hospital car parks, compared to the WW1 influenza epidemic in which an estimated 20-50 million died …? Come on, be honest, didn’t it get you going in a kind of ‘we’re fighting for our lives chaps’ way? It really doesn’t matter though, as when this latest panic fizzles out another one will replace it, honestly.

Even though the huge death rate never happened the propaganda is so persuasive that even if the government now admitted they made a mistake people like yourself still wouldn’t believe it. When we look at places like North Korea (yes, I’ve been there), we often laugh and wonder how a whole population can believe in nonsense. Well, in the same way that the British politicians and media convinced millions the safest place to avoid the plague like deaths that never happened is to stay indoors and wear a paper mask.

If you’re overweight then by definition you are not healthy don’t fall for the fat is healthy mantra put about by people with no self control over what they stuff into their mouths.

That is a totally unfair statement. There are many overweight people which is not caused by overeating. Other health issues cause people to be overweight.

This may well be true. Every single ‘overweight’ person I’ve met (not seen but met, as in having the chance to observe their behavior on more than a couple of occasions) have one thing in common:

They
Just
Can’t
Stop
EATING

Though I’m sure many are fat through no fault of their own, like the Virging Mary got pregnant in a totally innocent manner

Yet there’s also a not very funny side to it. Did you think you lived in a country where house arrests didn’t happen, where police didn’t risk assess you and you had freedom of movement? Did you think you had to do something to break the law and not break the law because you didn’t do something? I saw a vid yesterday about Welsh police going into a Church to stop worship :open_mouth: Creepy authoritarianism.

Yes we will get over this but it won’t blow over without the help of an awful lot of scientists working round the clock to hopefully get a vaccine and medications that will stop people becoming really ill and needing hospital treatment. Other than that who knows where and when it would end.

The way I see it is there are 2 sides to this one being peoples health and the other being the economy. The government have not done a great job however the fact they have never dealt with anything like this before does not make it easy. Neither do stupid people who break the rules (yes including government ministers)

In the meantime we have to protect the vulnerable first and worry about the economy second. This is a dangerous virus despite what anyone says. Yes most will have not have bad symptoms but what about the others? The selfish will say stuff them and let’s get the economy going fully again or isolate the vulnerable which is totally unfair.

Nobody is saying this is doomsday but over one million around the world have already died and we are still not really much further forward in progress.

It’s a pity some treat the whole thing as a bit of a joke.

Jake…your joke comment.
Which is the better option, take it seriously yes, consider and help the vulnerable, do all the mask and clean hands bs to be on the safe side, but at the same time take the ■■■■ out of those who take it ohhh soooooo seriously to the point of obsession, (while walking around in their full face visors :unamused:) …
I saw a Morrisons driver at Bridgwater today driving his truck (no passenger) with a mask on. :unamused:
Try and lead a normal as possible social life to balance the drudge of working amongst it.

Or.

Let it take you over, believe all the media hype, to the point of it driving you around the ■■■■ bend,.and become obsessed with every aspect of it.

As I said, chill out, keep it in perspective,.and laugh at the brainwashed amogst us, stressing themselves out.

Cheers Rob for your concern but don’t worry about me. We are fine where we are, basically a little community in the middle of nowhere! No masks in sight.
I’ve actually enjoyed all this going on because it gives me plenty time to do exactly what I want and when I want and without breaking any rules.
It does bother me though when I hear of all the covidiots back in the Uk. Yes they are here too apparently but I don’t see them.
Time for another Grolsch. Cheers!

A vaccine against what? A flu? There’s one already on the market, it’s called Lemsip! For complications such as pneumonia there’s antibiotics. Yes, they have dealt with this before. Covid-19 is a variant of SARS. Even if 1 million have died out of the world’s population and that’s without massaging the figures which the government admits has been going on, that’s something around 0.01% of the world’s population.

Yes, protect the vulnerable. The elderly and the ones with respiratory problems such as asthma and bronchitis. They’re the majority ones that are dying. How long has this been going on for, since March? Rules, lockdowns, risk assessments and it’s still continuing. The government haven’t a clue what they’re doing and change the rules on a near weekly basis.

People did say this is a doomsday scenario, don’t you remember when it first started? Absolute panic and although that was initially acceptable, it’s now turned into stupidity. We’ve now got Covid Marshalls, drones, police arresting people, possible banning of Christmas – you’re right it’s not a joke it’s a bloody outrage!

I’ve no doubt future historians will look back on this era as the age of stupidity. We’ve had a European Commissioner telling us he’s in touch with leaders from other planets - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBN5oPyCFiw In the U.S. the Americans elected a president they thought was a Messiah - http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/ and in Britain we’re running around with paper masks trying to protect ourselves from an airborne flu virus.
