More of a thread COMMENTING on a ‘‘news item’’ concerning a job in transport on a transport orientated forum, and adding a personal opinion on it …than a campaign.
True enough. But an opinion on one matter has then lead into views on the “whole” matter including people’s personal perception of society to the point where its almost like a meeting if old fish wives (or experienced nautical people)
Honestly is this in isolation really a big deal? I mean bin men have been refuse collection operatives for years now haven’t they?
It gets on my nerves and yes I agree it’s all a bit roll eyes here we go again, but i wont waste my time being… woke… about wokeness. Its being turned into a bigger deal than it really warrants by people who want switches if the population tonlook at something else instead of examine failures thar are ongoing.

However not ‘‘being bothered’’ does not stop you giving an opinion and/or a counter argument to redress a balance…, but the problem starts when you get virtually clinically obsessed with a subject to everybody else’s amazement and amusement, and go on to perpetuate it into 70 pages of the same old crap to the point where everybody (except the likes of Franglais ) get bored [zb] less with it.

And yes of course it’s right to have opinions and share them. I just dont get why people are so entrenched about this, apart from the fact its being highlighted to cause an outrage.
Meanwhile a 9 year old got shot in her own house, the latest and arguably most abhorrent of a recent spate of crimes that probably won’t get solved because there’s so few police now, and even if they do catch people they can’t convict them because barristers are on strike because of years of public pay freezes.
Meanwhile the guy who got bubbled from being prime minister but then held a vote to ask to stay on as prime minster because its important (he said) has spent the last two months out of the country whilst inflation soars, energy prices keep getting higher with no assistance in sight because nobody in the government knows if they’ll have their job in two weeks so why bother.
See what I mean? The country is a ■■■■ show heading into a crisis but no no let’s target Argos for changing two man to two person because while everyone is getting irate over that it takes the focus off of other things.

Next time I think about starting a transport related thread on a transport forum, I’ll run it past you first for your opinion to see if it’s either more …(or less) an important subject than the current social or political event that is going on in the country at the time ,.and await your approval.

Well I personally found this post as it was intended, not to shock or make a huge mountain out of nothing but merely as you would speak to someone about. Such as how ridiculous is this blah blah blah. We all know the world is a bad place with the such as a shooting of a young girl which is terrible and tragic, but it doesnt distract the fact on the opposit side that the world is equally ridiculous with Argos going along with such nonsense, you run the risk of being called a racist if you say something out of turn that someone gets offended by if it involves race, colour or religion. Whatever happened in the seventies with the likes of Alf garnet and programes such as love thy neighbor where everyone used to sit around the TV and seeing it as fun. No offence was meant in a nasty way, no huge surge of people being offended. I strongly believe that anyone should be able to post what they want to talk about on here providing it goes with the flavour of the site which I believe this one does. Censoring peoples opinions is not a great thing.
Yeah yeah defo I said above I find it all nonsense myself, but then I also find it easier to just roll my eyes and ignore it because in reality what anyone else does or doesn’t do doesn’t really bother me. For instance if I worked at Argos as part of a two man or two person delivery team it doesn’t matter does it? Would it fundamentally change the job?

You’re not wrong, at least in my experience. I did a few months work doing TWO MAN DELIVERIES out of Argos Faverdale (Darlington). 100% male staff for both driver and transport office workforces.
Also, the most miserable workforce I have ever seen in my entire life. Unsurprising really as they have a corrupt system where the guys who are mates with the transport staff get the short rounds (15-20 drops) and the newcomers (especially agency drivers) get rounds of up to 75 drops, some of which invariably end up being washing machine deliveries to the fourth floor of a block of flats where the lift is broken.
As for the PC/woke brigade, any would-be PM who promises to overturn this modern abomination would get my vote in a heartbeat.
You could have put money on Tories being outraged about this thing that literally affects no one.
This whole WOKE thing is going to be rammed down our throats now until the next election by the Tories as they have nothing left to fight on. They can’t fight on the economy, law and order, Brexit as they have all failed massively, so all they have invented Woke stuff and ‘forriners’ in dinghies to shout about.

We are being asked to blame migrants for the veterans and working men on the streets when it was a lack of social care caused by 12 years of austerity that is the cause. We are blaming dinghies for the fact the NHS is on its knees, when anyone can see the problem was caused by Brexiters yelling at foreigners to go home causing huge staff shortages.
We are blaming dinghies for crime after the Tories have cut police numbers and court spaces.
We are now being asked to blame the Woke in a similar way. The Daily Mail recently said there was a million quid wasted on wokeness or something in the NHS, I think all the money those Tories bunged their mates for PPE that didn’t work is more of a problem, or the 37 Billion on the app that didn’t work.
