Anybody else with same problem?

It’s like taking a flying F at a rolling doughnut

Do we know if anyone is listening to our complaints.

Problem has gone on for days now. I am finding virtually impossible to follow any threads on either laptop or i pad.

Same here, the whole site is literally unreadable, and seems to be getting worse.

Ok Toby we all get it without you bringing out the Random Crap guns again.

How long has it been now?..oh I can’t go back and check my o/post …as the kin thing won’t let me.

Think this is the start of the forum demise tbh sadly.
I gave it a rest for a couple of days last week, think I’ll do same again…cba.

(Unless of course Franglais comes on and presses my buttons with his trademark lefty liberal promotional bilge of course.)

That DAF CB thread for me seems to show the problem consistently - Initially it would show me the first 6 posts in the thread, then the side scoll bar goes a bit messed up

If I leave the thread and go back, it starts me at 6 and lets me scroll to 12, but not back to the first 6 posts.

I had a bit of a search for discourse and thread scrolling issues, there seems to be a few instances but all I have seen are posts from a few years previous.

For instance

Scroll jank when scrolling up - Feature - Discourse Meta

That made me aware you can use safe mode -

https://www.trucknetuk.com/safe-mode

For me that seems to behave for a few threads I’ve tried so far.

@njl
Was just about to put this info (that you gave me on other thread) on here, but you’ve beaten me to it.

Seems to have worked…Thanks again mate.
Why did the mods not come up with this weeks ago btw?

Seems to have worked for me as well. Took a couple tries on the link then it stabilised.

I am not that technically minded - how can I make it a permament solution ??

i think it remembers your preferences for each devise. so if you have changed it on your laptop you may have to change it on your phone for example.

Sorry to sound a bit thick but i clicked on the link provided and it reopened Trucknet which was stable. Closed it and reopened again and it was back to its old tricks. Now it is jumping about that much I cannot find the link again.
How can I access “Safe Mode” to do the neccessary ??

sorry looks like i was wrong it doesnt remember it,

https://www.trucknetuk.com/safe-mode

is the link again

Ya don t mate..
There is nobody more thicker than me when it comes to this stuff.:joy:
Same as a lot of stuff in my life I just blag it by using a strictly what I ‘‘need to know’’ basis…and pretend to know what I’m talking about.:joy:

If you can save that link as a bookmark / shortcut somewhere and use it to visit the site, that would keep you in safe mode each visit.

I wonder if they haven’t broken up for summer hols even before the school kids and the MP’s?

Go on then, how do ya do that?
(See my previous post )

Follow at your own risk…!

EDIT - my first attempt didn’t work, I did get a Edge shortcut to work but I don’t think anyone is likely using that as a default browser on the phone.

On a PC life is easier as you will have a bookmarks bar along the top you can save a bookmark into, usually hit the :star: symbol at the right of the address bar.

Ok, scrutinised your screenshot above and I think you are on an iPhone, so can’t advise specifically how to set up but someone might be able to…

Jumping through hoops ffs.
