Registerd with agency today (you know the one scanny !) and got a phone call 5hours later offering me a shift at 6am tomorrow !
Its reassuring that there are some agencys with companies on there books that will give people like me a chance.
Very impressed with the agency - saw Andy Beattie - top man!!
Off to bed now as getting up at 4.30am will be a new experience in its self.

Hi ! Just this minute back - 13 hr shift less 45 min break.
I actually enjoyed it but it is hard work compared to what I usually do (Restaurant Manager).
We did 12 drops in all. A few in Edinburgh but not New Town - I was in a Hire truck (7.5 tonne)
Got off to a slow start as there was an accident on the bypass at Dreghorn which delayed us for over an hour.
And yes I was building furniture , well most of the time I was holding things for John who was with me.Bunk beds, wardrobes , putting feet on setees and chairs etc.
Anyway I must have done ok as the agency offered me more shifts this week which I had to decline due to my other job but as there seems to be plenty work available I intend packing in the restaurant game very soon.
Im off for a lonfg soak in the bath to rest my aching bones but will let you know how things go for me.

Can be hard work, I have always found that the smaller the wagon the harder the work… More drops and more chance of having to unload by hand. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it though !!!
