so if youre going to add a couple of hours payback to a daily rest, from a short weekend rest does it all have to fit in a 24 hour daily cycle? or just the daily rest bit?
sorry but im confused now too
Just the daily rest bit, any hours added to that rest as compensation can be outside the 24-hour period.
If you start at 06:00, finish at 21:00 then start again at 10:00 that’s a reduced daily rest but the 4 hours that fell outside the 24-hour period could be used as compensation for a previously reduced weekly rest of 41 hours.
You could also begin at 06:00, finish at 19:00 and resume at 06:00 and the 11 hour rest could be counted as a 9 hour reduced rest + 2 hours compensation.
