I reckon he’d been to one of the Botley retail parks and decided to avoid any queues on the A34 by nipping up the Botley Road, round Worcester/Beaumont Streets and out the Woodstock or Banbury Roads.
I used to do it on tippers quite regularly and you’d bever break a weight limit.

I was a bus conductor for 6 weeks, got the sack when an inspector boarded my bus during the rush hour when the downstairs fares was the companys and the upstairs were mine … :frowning:

Got a feeling that one has been done a few times going by the number of “incase of bridge strike, phone xxxxx” signs all down the side. Maybe there’s also a note congratulating the driver on getting so far under the bridge and one at the end which says “soooo close” for those who really gave a run at it.
