Im pleased you have been doing some research Muckaway my lover
Might have saved yourself mucho hassle by simply parking your Marina under your DAF mirror arrangement and posting a picture on here which would prove CF and my goodself correct .
However , my 1 week old topliners N/S mirror is looking less glorious than i described .
Whilst i was enjoying my 45 on here trying to answer SnowTrolls never ending gormless questions in less than an hour so as not to upset him/her …
An agency driver was busy removing my lovely new mirrors and a large part of the door upon a stationary vehicle
If i find the foofer on his bike i will gladly run him over . then reverse back over him for good measure

Its been almost a week since the first questions I asked you and you still haven’t managed to answer. Surprise surprise. You should probably learn to tell the time.
And im gonna quote something you said and say I wont answer troll posts. I really cant be bothered with you now. It was fun pulling your posts to shreds and making you look a prize ■■■ to begin with but its getting tedious and repetitive now.
Two days ago I agreed with some of the things you put and you didnt even acknowledge it,prefering to continue with insults and arrogance. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, decided to be the bigger man since you had actually posted some sensible suggestions for once and you failed to prove you are anything other than a billy big mouth capable of nothing more than being an obnoxious ■■■■■■■. Your still all arrogant, all full of insults and determined to avoid and debate reasonable questions. Btw if you think half a dozen questions is never ending then you really are thick as pig ■■■■. Your school exam grades must have been something else.
Although It might have seemed they were never ending because you repeatedly failed to answer and I had to keep repeating the same questions over and over.
I told you two days ago you had proven yourself to be a troll and up you pop again to confirm it. The debate was being sensible and all of a sudden you decide to wade in with more arrogance and insults and nothing of any substance (as usual).
You crack on if it makes you feel like a big man. I know full well what would happen if we were to meet in the real world.
I can only hope everyone else sees what I see and ignores you also, carries on with the sensible debate among themselves and you bugger off never to be seen again.
If ya want to ask a question try and identify it with a number so you will be clearer when ive answered it .
Be more succinct as i skim the waffle .

I’m also a lorry driving cyclist. I don’t have problems with lorries, they give me plenty of space and I stay out of their way. It really is that simple. I struggle to accept your “right to go up the left side of a lorry”. You should know the difficulties truck drivers face, why not help them out by being a considerate road user?
You obviously cycle on different roads to me.
I find many drivers do not leave enough room especially so called professional ones or maybe their perception is wrong?
I hear u albion . you know as i do you dont have to be actually hit to be knocked off .
The wind is more than enought if they only 6-12 inches away
No amount of bicycle taxation will change that .
A high % of lorry bus and taxi drivers do not deviate an when overtaking
But ofcourse the cycle haters never let facts intefere with a good prejudice
Did anyone else hear something?

I think the problem is that to pull right out to get past a cyclist your effectively driving on the wrong side of the road, esp in a lorry due to its size. So to leave a great big gap means the driver is half way into the other side of the road. And while that is what needs to happen if they want past, and they should only be overtaking if there is a big enough break in oncoming traffic anyway, your still dealing with what Billy called a couple days ago of “the human element”. The whole manouvre appears safer if they stay as close as possible to their “own” side of the road.
And while thats the wrong way to think, its human nature. The mindset plenty cyclists and drivers have of any manouvre they have to undertake is one of “whats the best way for ME to do this” and taking the other parties participation as second, when in actual fact BOTH parties need to be taking both sides of a manouvre and its actions into consideration. Plenty cyclists dont put much thought into any manouvres they undertake either
Well thats my theory anyway

What about waiting till the road ahead is clear before overtaking as I do if I am driving a truck.
After all that is what you should do.
Trouble is lack of patience with most drivers.
Read your post because it does not say a lot for professional drivers.
Attitude makes a big difference with both lorry drivers and cyclists.
Too many bad attitudes in my opinion.
Just a quick post to cheer you up frozen chap. Coming back from my depot(in my car),about an hour ago.
Approached the lights on the A57 into Warrington just near to Warburton bridge turn on my left. Lights turned green, happy day’s.
2 ■■■’s (cyclist’s), about 200 m or so in front riding two abreast.Front ■■■ was half a bike length ahead of rear ■■■. As I was about to overtake them, the rear ■■■ sticks his hand out because they want to turn right. Quick tap on the throttle and straight past. As I automatically did a quick rear view mirror check I observed the rear ■■■’s front wheel catch the front ■■■’s rear wheel and sent rear ■■■ straight off his bike into the hedge.
Fortunately for the car behind me, it had slowed to allow both ■■■’s to get across in front of it to make the right turn.
Front row action for them. Luckily for me I got to see the ■■■ release himself from the hedge and hobble back to his pushrod blocking the road in a crumpled heap in my rear view mirror.

I think attitude has more influence than the roads themselves. I don’t care about being in the right whilst cycling, I care about being alive.
Most of my cycling is now done on busy city roads used by hgv, buses and cars. In my experience car drivers are a far bigger danger to me.

You just know that other ■■■■ will believe this is all your fault as your the professional and have full accountability whilst Lycra munchers have none[emoji3]
You could observe this sort of thing 1 mile away but ‘your’ on ‘their’ road so automatically your fault [emoji6]

Realistically the idea of cyclists being in a left position to facilitate traffic overtaking regardless of oncoming traffic only applies in the case of cars. While even then it has to be a road with sufficient width.Or,as increasingly seems to be the case, when there aren’t cyclists on both opposing sides of the road at once.
It’s obviously never going to work in the case of truck and bus type vehicle widths except in the case of single carriageway roads of exceptional width.
So maybe yet more evidence of ‘drivers’ entering the industry on a late career change basis bringing their car driver mindset with them.Which isn’t helped by modern trucks being increasingly designed to pander to that situation.
They can blame whoever they want Dcgpx.
It didn’t stop my sides from splitting.

Did I read this right?
Someone in front of you wanted to turn right so you accelerated to stop them. When you looked in your mirror there had been an accident. You don’t believe there was a connection?
What was wrong with hanging back and letting them turn?
No, you didn’t read it right. I was already about to overtake them, and rather than dither I booted it.
The car behind me hung back and the ■■■’s went about there business. Namely crashing into each other.
Yep too many bad attitudes. It’s blatantly obvious from some of the posts on here.
Fibbers 2
See it’s already starting to be your fault lol
Yep,know what you mean mate. The suggestion that, although i’m doing probably 30 mph and the tithead’s are doing 15 mph, as soon as a right hand is thrusted out,(about 5 metres away from my n/s front wing),I should jam on the anchor’s is quite amusing.

Woah easy cowboy
Why dont you read my post again. I said quite clearly your supposed to wait till theres a big enough gap in on coming traffic. Its just the human element about being on the wrong side of the road. Rightly or wrongly, its there.
I meerly stated what I thought was the reason behind it. Whether it says a lot for professional drivers or not is by the by.
Your right, attitude makes a big difference and there are too many bad ones.
From BOTH sides.
I always give cyclists adequate room but plenty cyclists overtake too close in situations such as queuing traffic and ive had my wing mirror removed by one before. (Incidentally he didnt stop. Well,he cant be traced can he. If only there was some way to identify who a bike belongs too…)
Some dont help their cause by ignoring red lights, steaming up the inside of a lorry with its left indicator on,texting, using no hands, wearing all dark clothing at night, not using lights, taking car wing mirrors off as they fly past and dont stop but still giving it large with “drivers need to take more care for our safety”.
The problem is that when ever theres an accident involving a driver making an error towards a cyclist it ends in a much worse incident than when a cyclist makes an error towards a vehicle.
Both sides have idiots but the problem is each tries to “stick up for” their own preferred mode of transport by slinging blame at the other side.
Its like politicians chucking muck at the opposition in the run up to an election. They by pass their own failings they focus on the other side.
And as long as both sides stick to the “We’re right, you’re wrong” mantra then it’ll be a never ending slagging match

Apologies if I misunderstood your post. I am afraid I do not hace the same patience when reading posts as when I am driving!
You are quite correct what you say.
