And we wonder why we have a bad name

Time and a place for everything. And that is a genuine answer, I’m not digging at you for asking the question.

No offence taken mate. I suppose combined with doing split breaks and being ocd with my truck i just dont eat in the cab and its something ive never done so habit really. I respect your reply as do i Alix, eagerbeaver and robroys, we’re all different

there was me thinking i was agreeing with you??..time and place…it makes no diff to me when im on the mobile…not glued to my ear though, but il quite happily make and take calls anytime im driving…but during quieter times, then if i think somethings acceptable in my own sense of proportion, then il quite happily do what i need to do.no point in trying to make life difficult when its bedlam on the motorway…but when it quiet, then theres room to move.i didnt think i was winding you up…just the usual overkill by the media as it always makes for sensationalism for the front page etc. dung happens 24/7…you only hear about the good stuff they decide sells papers or gets hits on their website so they make more off the advertisers.

Wasn’t being entirely serious bud, but it will do for all the times you have ‘had’ me…oooer Mrs.

I was just distancing myself from the texting when driving bit tbh.
I’ve said before on here, a mate of mine killed a young lass in a car who came around a corner on wrong side of road, she was later found out to be txting when driving, so it’s a bit of a no no for me.

its the smartphones to blame…you can txt war and peace on an old nokia and have a cpl of mistakes…the smartphones take a bit of juggling and you need to keep checking and juggling with both hands…the thing is…either you can do it with a somewhat degree of cmpetence and still be aware of your surroundings,or you cant…look at the ones thats not doing anything but driving and still ballsing everything up.
i drove nearly 20 miles on a big A road today behind a queue like the back of the coca cola trucks at 35mph assuming it was a tosco type or a tractor…to eventually see some middle aged herbert wearing glasses you could see into the future with just doddling along oblivious to everyone overtaking him.its not what you do,its how you do it is the important thing.

Yes, a bit of common sense and a bit of thinking for ourselves.
