Ok so I have probably upset a few people with a comment I made with regards my outburst. I think I had said something on the lines of those who have done nothing with their lives except sit in a lorry, this was a bit wrong of me to say as there are some members on here who have done just that. I was wrong in saying this as it was a bit patronising and making out that this was a waste of life. Of course I was not meaning this in a literal sense as there are some really decent people and some very clever people who are proud of their job. I apologise if I have offended any of these. I suppose when you are like me, someone who has had a very distinguished career you tend to dismiss others who have not had my high pressure life style. I would really hate to think anyone was offended, as this was totally wrong of me. I make no excuses for this, however maybe an explanation may let you understand better. I went through a tough time with my business and nearly lost everything at one point. I worked very hard to get my life back on track and regain my financial standing, I worked as a Industrial refrigeration consultant and was designing and trouble shooting cold stores and freezer plants world wide. It was a high stress job that nearly took my life rather help rebuild it. I started this thread “taking the ■■■■” as I was being forced back to the position I left and was only asking for opinions. I did not expect the comments I received. I suppose it tipped me over the edge as I am not used to anyone questioning me. I apologise sincerely and have the utmost respect for an amount of you on here. Others not so much but still I should not have resorted to such insults. Hopefully this explanation may help you understand.
I don’t whether I’m offended or not although I never even read the apparently offending comments anyway.Maybe we should have a topic about offensive topics and comments or perceived offensive topics and comments on here. 
As for supposed superior jobs the reality is that most of them are just jealous of the fact that truck driving ( can be ) a bit like getting paid for doing what office nerds and inside workers have to pay for and have to wait until their few weeks of holiday time,to do.IE Think of it like earning wages for an all expenses paid for road trip/tour every day of the week which can then be topped up with even more and better during your holidays. 
Which is why the jealous zb’s are doing everything they can to try to make the job either a misery and then to eventually make drivers redundant to be replaced by zb computers. 
As for the difference between abuse and an argument.

Fine but just take a look at your spelling mistakes above. you have put cant, also Im and then 2pence, does this mean your as thick or thicker than myself?
For what it’s worth, a simple, genuine, one sentence apology would have been enough, if you felt the need, followed by a period of silence and non bait taking.
You may have to apologise everyday at this rate.

They were not mistakes if I never put them in deliberately. I can assure you I know the difference between 2 and two. However, I may very well be thicker than you, it doesn’t really affect me either way to be honest… I just made the comment as It appeared to me that it was ironic seeing you make these mistakes while you were chucking your intelligence around.

It takes a certain mindset to keep on, and always have to have the last word. Even when all around you start taking turns, because they are getting bored, and have real lives to live. Real live. That which you dream off, sitting in your mum’s spare room…

If I’m honest it just seems that you’re looking for an argument for the sake of it now mate, so I’m just going to leave it by saying I know my spelling/grammar isn’t perfect, maybe I’m being a hypocrite by correcting yours, maybe not. Bored of this now too so i’ll leave you to it
