Sounds like a flip flop used your wagon Dozy. They love changing the readout to km’s…
There me thinking that due to EU harmony the readouts and record keeping where supposed to be in Kms, with drivers changing the readout to miles to suit themselves, throwing a spanner in the works

The records are in KM’s but some trucks have a mileage readout on the dash. I know our Scania’s do.
As an ex limper I’m familiar with the idea of double checking the readouts before I put the card in, because you can always guarantee some fool had fiddled with the Km/miles settings
This is the first time I have been back on this site in a few months and I see that some of the personalities / posts haven’t changed much.
I am absolutely convinced that Dozy just posts to get a reaction as no one could be as dimwitted as he comes across and still be able to walk and talk at the same time without falling over.
Although I must jump on the bandwagon as well and add this - Just use the Tacho display (that should always be in KM’s, so it doesn’t matter what the dash says)

Maybe the fool was bored on a long journey and altered the setting so that he could view the live/accrued fuel comsumption in MPG .
