One wiper and a 2 candle power fog/spot light. That’d do for me if I was a bit younger and fitter.

Perfectly safe in London on average. Traffic goes slow enough that it won’t be a problem.

A couple of Mk3 AECs with less-usual cabs.

I once read of a fellow who set his sleeping quarters up, forward of the steering wheel, in an AEC, possibly this model.
I may have read it in “The Nullabor Kid” by Ray Gilleland.

Worth a read mate. Written in the style of a fellow who was not afforded the education deserved of his intelligence. Light and humourous at times, whilst describing the hardships of an expanding, long distance transport industry in post WW II Australia.
Available inexpensively on Kindle.

LBC tries out a new weight-saving ploy:

So BRS copies the idea but with less success:

That LBC motor wouldn’t pass H&S these days-imagine trying to get in or out with 3 points of contact!

They would’ve raised an eyebrow too at the reach back to the step-ring on the second axle to access the cab: you’d need to be 8ft tall

This one must have been given a bigger engine: the snout looks home built -

Might have a 6LW

Bewick fitted an early 8 pot Gardner, and didn’t want to loose any load space?
