The vehicle was 2 ahead of my van. From its (not excessive) speed the driver did not appear lost, nor totally unfamiliar with the road. The farm is not on this bit of road, but after a crossroads on the next unrestricted section. There are very few premises along the banned stretch which most types of lorry might need to access, so any vehicle draws attention to itself leading to: “where’s he going then?” A 17 ton access only ban, in theory, prohibits everything except what we used to call ‘puddle-jumpers’.
Before the ban was put in place about 15 years ago, I would avoid using this stretch of road in a lorry (I don’t drive ‘trucks’), because it is too narrow in places with the chance of meeting even a Luton Transit in the wrong place making it not worth the hassle. It takes about 20 - 25 minutes to avoid this section of the B2163. The ban was made because of the fairly regular occasions when two lorries got jammed together - so it’s got nothing to do with nimbys.
It’s got ■■■■ all to do with you either.

To many people worry about things that have nothing to do with them. There are loads of videos on you tube where people film themselves being prats, and getting involved in things that don’t concern them. This is England for you. To many busy bodies
