Advanced warning ; Woobly box season is looming

Toby, you why do you insist on making yourself look like a pratt ?

Big Roy:
What you don’t seem to be able to grasp is that some people don’t want to go abroad for their holidays, speaking for myself I do like to go abroad and this year it’s back to France, La Rochelle to be exact, in our caravan, happy days :sunglasses:

Well I am 64 years old, neither me or the wife have ever held a passport and the only holidays or breaks we have ever had in 40 years of marriage have been in either tent’s, motorcaravan’s or caravans. Never been interested in jetting off, never even been on a plane, not a matter of affording it or not but just enjoy the freedom of caravanning/camping etc and have no interest in lazing in the sun abroad. Life’s too short and plenty of places to see here which we wont live long enough to visit, but I don’t knock those who like that sort of life. Plus I love driving, it never bothered me doing a full weeks work and then driving, say, another 150+ plus miles on the friday evening as that was relaxing, and as far as we were concerned the break began as soon as we closed our front door!

Hoping that we still have a few more years of touring, plus plenty more of you lads to hold up…

Pete.

Who gives a toss about the Caravan Club, a pretentious middle class smug woolly jumper brigade that has to define they are different to the real travelling community by saying we are not like them.
They both drag caravans.

If we were to follow that logic, then I would feel obliged to steal the diesel from your truck when you parked up for the night. :open_mouth:

I have no problem at all with the ‘other’ travelling community, they live their lives and I live mine.

I can only holiday in the UK if with the uver arf because she has never been on a plane and no intention of doing so, gets vertigo on a step ladder ! and after one frightening episode on a ship with a deck cargo of steel pipes breaking loose she will not even step foot on a ferry, never even been for a sail around the bay here in my wee wafi boat. So trailer holidays it is, which suits me fine. (apart from all these ■■■■ juggernuts who think they own the road.)
