I must have misinteprated your comments, because you gave me the impresion that you frowned on split coupling, also i was trying to put accross is that accidents can happen however you hook up, we have to accept that we’re all prone to distraction, we are only human after all :wink:

You’re now mismisinterpreting my comments :laughing:

  1. I disapprove of split coupling
  2. I do split couple if there is no other way (ie with a fridge, like you)
  3. You can’t eliminate risk, as you say, but you can minimise it.
  4. Of the 2 methods, split coupling maximises, normal coupling minimises.
  5. We are in complete agreement in that both of us only do it with fridges :unamused:

now given the choice of close or split coupling i would go with split coupling because you get greased up to [zb] and theres no way of avoiding it .

but what the organ grinder says the monkey does. :unamused:
