I’m still very disappointed he wasn’t a ghost.

Yes was very good of him tojelp you out, however dont you carry a map? Following the flock in a hgv isn’t a great idea. As dsiseldog sId
in ireland its road closed consulate yoyr map.Yes I do carry a map but I didn’t quite reach the map reading stage before the ‘Nice Man’ intervened - Maps are a good tool if you can find somewhere to park to read them before it all goes t1ts up
I have the Philips Truckers Atlas in my work bag and although I have not been driving long it has come in handy a few times.
Yeah ok fair point the nice man in a van turned up first. although before setting off after the van I would have first asked, is your route gonna be suitable for my truck to go down??
Just something iv noticed is a lot of hgv drivers with not 1 but 2 sat navs stuck to there windscreen wtf!! is this just to add to the confusion?? surely if in doubt the best thing to look at is a map not your second sat nav??
Had to go to ASDA Erith last Week and got 2 different Postcodes.
How would you do with just 1 satnav?
Well you couldn’t go to both of them at once could you.

Google + Google maps resolves 95% of issues with incorrect/incomplete postcodes I find.
I did my good deed a few weeks ago. I live in Redditch, and was on my way home when I saw Johnny Foreigner stopped short of a roundabout, obviously lost. It was dark and drizzling but I pulled in in front of him and went to see if I could help. (At least I could stand on the grass verge) The guy spoke no English but he showed me his delivery note and he was way off. My guess was a wrong postcode.
I had no way of giving him directions, so I just said “Follow me.” It probably held me up for a good fifteen minutes and a couple of miles but the warm virtuous glow made up for it.
