Starting 4th Feb the A21 between Johns Cross and Hastings will be subject to night time closures for a period of 10 hours from 20:00 hours each night. The works could continue until 3rd July.
The alternative route is via the A2100 through Battle (No weight or height restrictions)

Oh…You live in Battle No offence meant, but when I lived in Herstmonceux and worked at Vinehall School, a lot of the parents lived in and around Battle…When I was training to become an HGV driver, we were not allowed to take the training vehicle through Battle, as the training centre at Hastings had complaints from residents of Battle…So when I passed and started driving locally, I always went through Battle
