Hope you all have a great night - don’t forget a) photos and b) a carbon monoxide alarm for when the diesel smoke gets REALLY thick

Hello Jack, let’s hope that nobody turns up in a Customs Officers uniform, some of your lads might end up doing a U turn
And don’t forget, if your drinking no driving and if your driving it’s always handy to keep a carton of Kronenburg on the bottom bunk  .

I hope that you all have a great time and relive a lot of happy memories.

Thanks mushroomman, if you get chance be there next time and we can share memories of yesteryear when driving was a real mans job and not the chauffeur’s job the have now, if they had to do what we did years ago, they would all be in the dole office looking for another job because they couldn’t cope with the trauma of working so hard for a living, but it was worth it, because we were all mates in those days instead of being what they are today. :smiling_imp: :grimacing: .:-Jack

hiya,
Looks like i’ts going to be a good “do” with plenty of “proper drivers” in attendance, just hope someone takes pics and puts them on here for us non-Aoners to enjoy, just remember “if you drink and drive don’t forget your car” have a great night lads and hope you have many more to come.

, Well organized reunion enjoyed the evening seeing so many old, faces of A one employees, lets not wait too long for a repeat,
unfortunatley the MAN him self Jack Robindon was unable to attend together with Russel Hutchinson,
the two who made A ONE TRANSPORTpossible,
Not forgetting absent friends who have sadly past away and those who were unable to make it.

]GREAT EVENING THANK LES MULLIN

Well what a night, and thanks for all the messages from Les, Keith 2, and more to come, it looks like you all had a good time, how nice to see so many of you there, I notice there were a couple missing, but we expected that, but a 99.99% turn out is a very good successful event, so many things to talk about, so many memories from so many friends, we may have got older but I noticed the Alzheimer’s hadn’t set in yet with any of us, it was nice to see Maureen it really made my day when I saw her stood there as large as life, she has that nature of being every-one’s friend, and she remembered everyone as if it were last week.
Great to see Jack Tether although he was sat down being pampered by his daughter and good luck to him, Billy Parky was another, “he was a late entry"just found him in time, and it was so great to see him, I hope Keith 2 didn’t miss his flight, because he lasted almost until clossing time " 1 am”, just have a good holiday Keith, and thanks Les for your message it was a pleasure and it was great to see you there and that you enjoyed it so much.
After having a conversation with most of you about text time, there’s no doubt about it it is going to happen again, and there’s no hiding any more because “we have you numbers now” so there’s no excuse your coming to the next one, and to the ones who didn’t turn up for what ever reason, "sickness family commitments or what ever"you missed a good night, but you were still talked about as it were yesterday we were all at Gildersome, so next time no excuses, see you all next time guys, and keep in contact.:-Jack
PS to harry Gill, Durham, now how about that pint, just call me. :-Jack

Never seen a pub with so many grey haired/ bald headed blokes in my life. Enjoyed the night tremendously and caught up with a few faces from the past. Pity no other ex Cliff Parrott men made it but thats life. Hope we raised a few quid to help the heroes. Got a large bottle of Spanish Brandy that needs drinking so bye bye for now.

Hi to you all. Just a word from me to say a BIG thank you to everyone that made it such a good night. I enjoyed doing all the searching for old mates and trying to get their names correct  It was suggested at the end of the night that it would be an idea that we all went to stay at the HOTEL WEIN in BUDAPEST.next time. Wives and all :stuck_out_tongue: and spend a few days there!! Jack Graham said he could organise as many coaches as would be needed :unamused: :stuck_out_tongue:  :open_mouth: Still, it is only a thought.

I will try to get my photo’s on “photobucket” asap.

Once again, thanks to everyone.

Cheers Stuart, as I said you did most of the legwork and running around, and had it not been for you it would have been disaster, because with me moving home at the same time, I could never have done it alone, so a very big thanks from me, to you and Stuart Broughton and look forward to the next time. Jack.

To Everybody. What a FANTASTIC evening it was a real pleasure to see you all again and i realy enjoyed it. I would also like to thank the people that organsied it, Jack Graham.
