Oh! dear Alan, I’m sorry I just remembered you’ve been gone from West Yorkshire far longer than I remembered, so just to put you in touch with life over this part of the world, “PUBS AND CLUBS IN THIS PART OF ENGLAND ARE ALMOST EMPTY” and have been closing down so fast there’s almost none left, it’s not like it was when you lived here, most of the pubs would be glad to get a few drivers in, but just dont try parking your trailer in the car park, they dont like it any more.
Hi Stuart Broughton / Sugden, will be having a count up this week to give us an idea of how many can be there, the numbers are going up, but there are still a couple away on holiday which should be back I think this week, so this weekend we should have a better idea, I was going to ask JMR if he would be able to come for an hour, but Robin said he’s not too good and dont think it’s a good idea because of his health etc, I thought it an idea to get a big card or something we can all sign and have it taken to him just to let him know we’ve not forgot him, as far as the rest of the staff, I’ll leave it to someone else to ask them who know there contact numbers or where they are living, even going to Archibold’s to ask them, to me the more the better, because dont forget we were all working together.

Hi guys, up to now I’ve counted at least 20 names on my list of drivers who are attending our reunion, so things are looking good, at least Stuart and myself wont be there on our own, it’s a good response and if we have another count up at the weekend let’s hope we can make it 30, because I know there were more than 30 drivers at A One, will someone make contact with Jimmy Starchfield and drag him kicking and screaming if necessary, I know he’s still working at Crossroads part time, and any more you all can think of, there are the Scollic Brothers Peter and Ian, I’ve heard nothing from anyone making contact with them, so dont give up until we fill the place, “the Bold Privateer at Wrose wont know what hit them” when all the lads turn up, the place will stink of diesel when were all there, just keep the names coming.Regards :-Jack Graham.
