thanks for all for your good comments , it was great fun doing it glad you have enjoyed it
Excellent diary & high quality pics. You get to see some lovely scenery & sun rises + a bit of graft thrown in to keep you fit.
I couldn’t & wouldn’t do those start times but we’re all different.
Do you worry about being over weight on the front axle when 1/2 tipped?
Good diary there. When I was looking at some of the pics of your rigid loaded up it reminded me its been so long since I’ve driven a rigid with any weight on that I probably wouldn’t remember how to spread the load anymore.
Great diary and pictures - I enjoyed it, thank you.
I concur, excellent photos and write up,a ,lot of folks would love a job working outside in the fresh air.Do you remember the old Mole Valley yard where the Lidl is now in Frome,it was Toop`s yard,it was an old tin roofed shed, and had two cracking young ladies working on the tills.
If you see some old Ford TW range tractors, please put them up,and Fordson Major and those little Massey Fergusons, that may be rotting away in some hedge on your travels.

nice to see what you lot on the darkside get upto& moan about , really dont envy the handball jobs you get though. as for the photo of me ? well lets hope not many see it , i wouldnt too many people to know i smile occasionallybest get me camera sorted i spose
yea mate thats childhays goat joint i couldnt believe the old quarry had shut and is filled with water !! yea we got evidance that you can smile lol !!! hey toby wants massey pics told him you the man for that !
Nice one, an enjoyable read, I would need a bigger lunch box though after ■■■■■■■ them bags around all day, in fact I’d have one that big that I’d need an 8 wheeler to avoid going over on the front axle
Massey T20,great little yard scrapers, some old rotting combines would be good to see a photo of too.Spoke to a tea van man,he said it costs£5000 for a pitch at the Dorset steam fair,a simple tea van can make £20,000,and the big food trailers are megubucks, some of them only work a few fairs and festivals and go some place warm for the winter, that is the life, flipping burgers pays for a house in Tampa or St Petersburg.
here you go toby a few TW’s
oh & rusting old combines you say ?
Amazing, the power of the internet. Many farms have old relics just rotting away, have you seen any Fordson Major`s?Old David Browns and Case, white cabs.?Thanks for putting up the photos.
Enjoyed the read tanks for sharing it with us all, nice to see the jobs of others on here,
Defo not the job for me once you mentioned the “keeping you fit” bit
Brilliant diary & photos, & a great read , thanks for taking the time & effort to put it all together

yes mate many times , why ? you want a photo of that to ?
be quite honest mate , my PC is rammed with pictures of farm machinery, especially tractors ,so not much goes unnoticed.
my mission for this year is for two pics in particular, a Fordson powermajor with ditcher on the short stretch of road on the farm between glastonbury & street & a Fordson N coupled to a very early fingerbar, manually adjusted hedge trimmer up at Lynam.
WANTED DESPARATELY…
…friends
Can’t help with either of them but here’s a little rarity for you, lives a few miles from me;
Yes, it is made by the same firm as the cars!
