The Big Yank unit is one of the trucks that carry the goods for the US base shops, equivilent to the NAAFI shops. They sell alomost everything at discount prices, but only to US or visiting personel, which is one reason that foreign aircraft stop at Mildenhall so the crews can stock up on cheap goodies.

Thought that Freighliner was one of the US AAFES trucks. I parked next to one at Lymm recently. Cabs seem very small compared to ours. I think if any UK fleets put them in service they would soon lose their drivers!!!
