charlie one:
Good evening gentlemen.
Here is a reply to the postings. Firstly in reply to Mr Ian Hellawell.I have ignored
the foolscap sheet he gave me to write from.He picked me up from the end of my road on Sat morning and
away we went. The first thing he asked me was “Have you brought your wallet? I seem to have mislaid mine”
Then while we were loading he drank three cups of coffee from my flask and ate eleven digestive biscuits.
Also as you can see from the photo I had to do some physical work sweeping and shovelling. Then to crown
it all he chucked me out at the grain terminal saying " Wait here for Gazzer,Iv,e got anther ten loads to do before
dark" What a differance.A real gentleman. He made me a cup of coffee.Helped me into the cab.Put a rug around
my knees and drove off very gently. We had a long chat about Ian and both came to the same conclusion. He
is just as good looking now as he was thirty years ago.
After we finished Gary allowed me to clean the cab for him and then Ollie( Ians son ) took me back to Alton in the
big Audi. When we got home he asked me for twenty quid for petrol and Twenty five for the days outing. Not bad eh?
When I have saved up enough can I come out again?
MaggieD.Hi Richard.I think your offer sounded a lot better proposition.Next on give us a shout.
Best regards to you all Charlie
Good job I had a fast camera last year to catch this rare occurance
Thank you for the kind words Charlie apertaining my afternoon hospitality to you.
The truth being I was instructed from traniht to ensure you didnt fall from the truck, getting in or out because the insurance cover would be queried and possibly negligible in such circumstances and that I would not be covered for back injury should I have need to hoist you back on your feet.
After intimating that you no longer imbibed, I may consider auctioning the said bottle of Soberano and give the proceeds to the neer do wells of the Borough.

Hello to you all. As I have been working quite hard of late(trying to earn enough to pay Gazzers wages) I have not been able to give too much thought to the sunday bash.Peter Clue who is working for us and myself have to work on Sunday and wont be able to get down there till the evening. Will anybody still be there or is it an early finish thing.
I have been told that Horri and John of the Davies team will attend and I do hope anybody who would like to come along will do so. I hope Richard Goodchild and his charming lady will attend.
Will there be any kind of collection for the up keep of thatch roofs and very old FH12s as times are very hard

All those people who said that you Ian are a money grabbing person have now been proven right.

Just had an email from an unidentified source saying " Please pass this message to all who
are attending the ■■■■ reunion of The Elderly ex Rawlings lorry drivers. When you enter the Wheatsheaf
tell Tim that he is to open up a tab in the name of Traniht, and he will square up when he comes in the evening"
Pretty generous I say.Shame that I will have to be going about 5 oclock.
Hope that this message will encourage a few more to attend who might not have come owing to the economic
downturn.See you all tomorrow Regards Charlie Ps.I did not spell ■■■■ wrong.
