A right mess !!

I reckon those renault T ranges look better when they have been crashed

I suppose that’s subjective, personally I reckon they are the most distinctive trucks on the road at the moment, the latest Volvo looks virtually identical to a 1994 Volvo, ditto Mercedes, Daf etc.

Shame I don’t know the driver, I would of paid him to wait about another 10 miles until he got to crowborough then smacked into my ■■■■■■■ ex wife’s car, preferably with her in it,

Oh well to late, next time

How many of us have got so narked off we’ve thought about doing the same?

agency? :grimacing: :grimacing:

Theres no arguing there distinctive but the looks of the thing are enough to put me off buying one

all joking aside and possibly making it a bit serious, a lot of forces guys come out and get hgv jobs, with PTSD being possibly higher now than ever before maybe the lad snapped?

And amid all the jokes, let’s have a thought about the three people he injured.

Claretmac:
Ok I’ll be the first on this one!!! Must have been an agency driver

agency? :grimacing: :grimacing:

Well done lads, you’re both spot on. Not only was he an agency driver but he was also east european (what a surprise) believed to come from Poland.
He was working out of our place at Northfleet and was on his way to Eastbourne.
Have heard some rather unfavourable comments about him but as I only knew him by sight I can’t really comment. I do know that his knowledge of the english language was comparable to my knowledge of nuclear physics.  He’s still in police custody and his car is sitting in the car park gathering dust.
Very few details of the accident are known yet, lots of speculation and very few facts, all we really know for sure was that he was driving considerably in excess of the 30 limit.
Truck, trailer and load have all been impounded and I understand load has now been written off by company.
If Whistl work the same way as our lot then the agency will be getting the bill for this lot and I don’t think they’ll get much change from a million although I expect they’re insured for it.
Worrying thing is there’s a lot more like him, 75% of our drivers are east european and I see some horrendous driving on a daily basis, we had one this morning who couldn’t jack-knife it round to line up with exit, took four shunts and gave up :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

many years ago I remember a driver who had been in a place Monday to Thursday - come Friday he walked out declaring he couldn’t reverse and we never heard from him again.
