A new book about the middle east

but god dam it i aint got time to start reading it now am off to work shortly … :unamused:

This book truly is a literary classic
Well done Paul.

I have just finished reading Not all sunshine and sand (im a slow reader) and it is a great book.
wish i had had the chance to do that kind of job.
Paul will you be doing another book. if so can i place my order now…
All i need now is to get my book signed.

Can you hurry up and start on a second one Paul.

best book i have read in a long time , more of the same please , asap , regards , dave

Once again thanks for all the fantastic comments, makes it all worth while. As to a follow up, I have enough material for another book, but to be honest it will depend on how successful the sales of this book are. As to the PM’ s I’ve received and not responded to, it’s not for the want of trying. Every time I try to respond the message just gets parked up in the outbox and I’m unable to retrieve them, technologically able I am not! So if you want your book signed sling then please send it to me and I will happily moniker it. I can receive PM’s. but if you E-mail me at (paul-rowlands@hotmail.co.uk) we can exchange details.
Paul

Well I’ve put it on my christmas list, just hope theres some left.

i hav’nt had time to read my copy yet , but my mrs has started too and believe it or not she wont put it down … :open_mouth: wtf …■■

she’s been sat killing herself laughing all night … god help me she wants to be a driver now… ffs
she particularly liked the badly loaded flat wagon , she had a vision of you pulling a wheelie down the road … :open_mouth:

Santa has got me a copy    but she said that I can’t have it until Christmas Eve.

All,

I couldn’t agree more with all the positive comments left regarding ‘Not all sunshine & sand’.

I received the book as a present from my wife for Christmas and I’d read it cover to cover by the 28th Dec - I really couldn’t put it down and could relate to so many tales within. I spent many a Sunday afternoon during the 90’s parked on the docks at Dover waiting to load fruit back to Spalding wishing I was getting on the boat to ship out to somewhere exotic.

Anyone who’s involved in this industry will find it a compelling read, and anyone who’s not will definately learn a thing or two.

Part Two soon Paul?

Brilliant.

Well done Paul on a fantastic read! I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best book I’ve read in years. How about any other of you ex M/E boys putting pen to paper!

Regards,

Mark.

I could not put it down what a fantastic read Ithink it was bestbooties who said every ME driver could write a book and each one would have a different view If this is true I would read them all.

An excellent read and well worth buying. Looking forward to part 2…

I read a couple of chapters this morning while having a “Spread”,and Paul refers to the ex army Scammell Explorer parked up at Eleskirt. He refers to it as “Big Bertha”,funny,I knew it as “Little Willy” but there you go,time can do a lot with your memory.
He also mentions Ron Roberts.I think I only met Ron on a couple of occasions, and found him to be a real gent,it was only later that someone told me of his hotel business. However,he did tell me that he was an orphan brought up in Wales.
Here is my pic of “Big Bertha/Little Willy”.

Sorry,double post.
It’s with this new layout being so slow to upload, you think it’s not working so you click on “Submit” again.
