took this from the clients bedroom window ,in between the dismantling of a bed . thought phil looked a bit close to the house .
gingers merc ready for another load , this van has come in handy more these days for small London trips .
can you stop posting photos of vans being loaded jakey , when i’ve seen them i come over all tired and have to have a lie down .
Ok Rigsby , how about posting a picture of a piano being pushed up a wet ,windey pathway in the dark ,with the neighbours in there car asking you to move the ramps, oh and the chance of a cup of tea was NIL .
there you go , at it again jakey . i’ve had to ask the wife to make me a nice soothing cup of tea for the shock . on a serious note , anyone working in or around our house get a brew whenever they want . i’ve worked for enough tight miserable sods in the past . cheers , dave
Come on Rigsby , if you were on the vans ,you were paid a few shillings non taxed ?
How about the floor of this wagon from Germany ? polished floor for new furniture deliveries , can be very tricky but all the driver does is push the kitchen units to the back , me muggins has to lift off .
never did the van job jakey , but plenty of farm deliveries ( he’s gone out/ got a bad back etc )and bakery deliveries ( can’t spare anyone to help , i need them upstairs)never got so much as a thank you off the farmers , but one or two bakeries gave us a few cakes . miserable , tight sods are part of any job . cheers , dave
Talking of tight arses ,once had a three day job to Aberdeen ,with just me no porter to unload, after unloading to a 2nd floor flat (was meant to be a ground floor ) and waiting 4 hours for the doctor to turn up , I was given a piece of pizza as a tip and he gave it to me with his hands and licking his fingers
,I was not a happy bunny .
JAKEY:
…with just me no porter to unload, after unloading to a 2nd floor flat … .
I used to have to do that quite regularly around Europe. The running money always paid for some “hired help” afterwards though!
