A day in pics driving for Keystone 06/01/2010 - Very long

Great diary mate, cheers for that.
I worked at a McDonalds for 18 months when i was at school so i know about the deliveries. I always thought it was stupid having the trucks park up in the car park. We would try to block off some spaces to make it easier for the trucks to get in but people would always park in the way!

Great diary and pics. Gave me a good chuckle too. Cheers.

Yes Ok Stewart, I got the name wrong…I can’t even remember what fare stage it is…all I remember was it was on the number 44 and 44/45 route.

It was 75 I think - not that I could remember it either because hardly anyone used so was really a complete waste of time

Things haven’t changed at all…about 50% of the stores I visit do try and cone off some of the car parks for me but even with this done some members of the public just move the cones so they can be closer to the entrance…usually all you’ve got to do is get close to their car and eventually they run out and move it. There are so many places I didn’t realise an Artic could go until I done this job lol

I never thought about using the cages, they do come apart but they’re sealed in the truck by a little gizmo with a code and I’d of had to mess about with the tail lift. With regards to the TC, originally it was off but the sainsbury’s driver showed me how to turn it on…not that it made a difference with it on or off :frowning:

Well, maybe next time then  That little gizmo is likely to make using cages harder, but if you get stuck that near shop you’re delivering to maybe that shops has some empty cages you could use. Taking TC off in that kind of situations may not help getting unstuck, but after you finally manage to get moving again TC is eager to kick in and then you’re stuck again. That’s why taking TC off is often good idea when stuck (or maybe even before that ).
