I think Robroy, that a lot of our EE friends are partially responsible for this ’ Hero ’ culture. They work like machines, rarely late off breaks, always bang on time or early for work. I am sure a lot of British workers (drivers included), know that employers get good value out of EE’s.
It may be a case of " Keep up or you can be easily replaced ".

Not in the case I am on about, they are all Brits, and it wasn’t a case of "keep up’ either. The job was getting done to the boss’s satisfaction, he was happy with his drivers, and the drivers were not pushed, but that was not enough apparently, for the tossers that went on to ■■■■ it.
Fair enough. Your example does sound like some brown nosing has occurred.
