I saw that old 110 at MIRA when I used to go up there testing for TRUCK mag, looked in a right state, all original but uncared for, glad to see it in a good home now.
Love that yellow Mexico too, quite rare the MK2 Mexico, not as rare as the RS1800 BDA though, now that’s a tool, not in the league of the Cossie though, I had a MK1 AVO Mexico until it went backwards into a tree due to me running out of talent had a Sapphire Cossie too & fortunately a bit more sense so I managed to sell that before any trees entered the equation, very good fun on a roundabout that was, but the daddy of all cars came courtesy of Quinny, that Quattro S2 made the best noise of any engine, even better than a V8 Scania through straight pipes, see, it is a Scania thread
& I like a V8 Scania as much as I like tall blondes with ■■■■■■■■ (a lot) The one Walther Rohrl did the Pikes Peak hill climb in was the dogs danglies
Quinny if you get one at Xmas, please can I have a go
And while you are all drooling over old Fords, I found this
I was having a break last week in Watling Street when this pulled in next to me.
HERE,S A PIC OF THE 81 WITH THE 111 AND THE F88 BEFORE THEY WERE DISBANDED TO THERE NEW HOMES
Hes certainly getting his moneys-worth out of that old D series!! coat of Dulux wouldnt go amiss. Tinleton Transport from Essex were running a P reg D Series until recently, dont know wether they still are, does anybody know?? Another motor that used to rot away before they were worn out.
i thought it was a thread about my wife and mother in law
