There is a very well known veg company who i am sure will take you on They are just south of Preston if memory serves me correctly.

Theres a few people round here that do fruit and veg but there hard to get on for, even for experienced drivers!

They are red if that helps

Hunterpack at Tarleton like I already said?

Now I thought you had to leave a gap between doing C and C+E now, or have I missed something out?

For what it’s worth. I’m 23, and I’ve not put the money in yet as I really can’t see a decent job coming out of it, even though I got family already running trucks if needs be. Insurance for under 25s is madness these days.

It could be worth doing what I’m doing now, find somewhere using 3.5 Tonners to start. In my mind at least, it’s experience in the right direction.

No gap reqd.

You can pass Cat. C then continue on straight away with C+E training/test (once full Cat. C licence arrives with provisional C+E entitlement). Of course somewhere along the line Mod. 2 & Mod. 4 Initial DCPC will be reqd. to gain DQC.

Yep, there are jobs to be had. even at 18 with no experience. Go for it and keep us posted! :grimacing: Goodluck

^^^I agree…not easy but, I know of a young man - still 18. Transport in his blood, passed all upto C+E & DCPC already ALSO for good measure been on with taking his Transport Manager CPC when it was the old scheme (National)- he passed 2 out of 3 Units only to have his two passes disregarded when the Qualification changed in Jan 2012. Since then he’s studied for new qual. Transport Manager CPC International. Passed his multi-choice 1st time & failed his Case Study a couple of times - but he kept at it…now he’s passed both exams - full International CPC holder & C+E & DCPC, all before 19th birthday.
He got a start driving with family firm on their oldest wagon & trailer due to insurance restrictions.

IT CAN BE DONE!!! BEST OF LUCK!!!
